Wolfgangus Theophillus Amadeus Mozart.



Can you imagine writing that on the top of your paper in school?


Amadeus was added to his name after a trip to Italy,
That's the Italian translation of Theophillus.

Since his native language was German,
the German translation Gottlieb was sometimes added.

All these names mean the same thing:"Beloved of God"


One day, his father added another name, Sigismundus,
but it was never used.



Lucky for him, he was called "Wolferl"
for short.








When he got older he shortened his name and he wrote it:
